Traditional AntiVirus cannot keep up with the rate that new threats are being created and released. The main reason for this is that it depends on signatures to recognise the threats.  These signatures are usually updated a couple of times a day, but may not include the latest threats for several months, once it has been spotted enough times and has been analysed to create the relevant signature.

What you need is an Endpoint Protection solution that doesn’t depend on signatures, but rather examines the computer behaviour to determine the likelihood of threats.  This solution should analyse your application behaviour, network activity and disk activity using Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and use this information to take appropriate action.  These actions should include the ability to kill the threats, isolate your computer from the rest of the network, recover the computer and also notify a security team of the threat so they can take appropriate action.

New threats are being created at the rate of about 4 per second. These are all classified as unknown threats until such time as they have been identified and a method of counteracting them has been defined.

The agent deployed is very lightweight and has no effect on your computer in most cases. The only times we have experienced this is if the computer is running older operating systems or is not up to date, and in very rare cases has other security software running that conflicts.

The first thing it does is quarantine the ‘offending’ cause and kill any related processes. Your 24 x 7 Security Operations team is immediately notified and they will take a look at the threat and determine whether it was a true threat or if it was a false positive. In the case of the latter, they will whitelist the file(s) and release it, allowing you to continue what you were doing. In very rare cases, if the threat cannot be contained, the team will notify you with steps to rectify the threat.

We will set you up in the secure portal for the 24 x 7 team to monitor. You will be sent a secure email with the installation files and your own secure site code which connects your computers to your secure portal. All you typically have to do is ensure your computers are fully updated prior to installation.

Yes it does. The agent does need to connect to the internet to remain updated and also to send threat notifications, but there is no requirement to be connected to stay protected.
